Giant animals run through the streets of my hometown, San Francisco.

 

These illustrations were born out of frustration with the endless economic "rushes" that wash over this land, and the destruction that they bring. It was joyful and empowering to draw these huge animals reclaiming the land, representing forces greater than ourselves. 

 

All animals illustrations hand-drawn in Procreate, then layered onto Photoshopped photos.

"Reverse Manifest Destiny" Series  ​

Since 1891 the city of San Francisco has kept a small herd of buffalo in Golden Gate Park. These illustrations depict a giant buffalo journeying back to Wyoming, where part of the original 1891 herd was taken from. 2021- 2022.​​

"Return to Laramie" Mural 

Mural based on the "Reverse Manifest Destiny" illustrations, depicting the Golden Gate Park bison returning to their homeland. Link Cycling building, Laramie, WY. 2024
